Whilst fund-raising for charitable causes is a major function of Nomads, the enjoyment and camaraderie generated amongst Members is primarily driven by the common interest in the game of golf.

To that end, a variety of competitions are held throughout the playing year. Most events focus around the monthly playing days, but two trophies - the John O'Sullivan Memorial and the Roy Best Memorial - are match-play events than can be played on any mutually agreeable day, date and venue within the rules and timeframes laid down for each competition.
